I’m Emery M. McClendon, Esq. — an attorney with five advanced degrees and a lifelong passion for problem-solving. Like many people, I had thick, traditionally difficult-to-manage 4C hair, and I struggled to find products that worked consistently.
When I began losing my hair, I was devastated. It came in stages. First, I lost my hairline, then regrew it with a formula I made myself. I grew up in a family where hair care came naturally; my grandmother made her own greases and oils from scratch.
Years later, I lost hair again in the crown after turning to other products for convenience. That experience pushed me to perfect my own creation - the formula that would eventually become PHamily Hair Care.
When I saw my hair grow back stronger, thicker, and healthier than ever, I started sharing it with family and friends - and what began as a personal remedy turned into a trusted family-run brand now helping thousands grow, style, and love their hair again.
